div style="text-align: justify;"As they always say -nbsp;preparationnbsp;is key. I know lots of people shy away from planners or weeklynbsp;diariesnbsp;and manynbsp;have taken their whole lives online (my boyfriend recently told me it’s time to get in 'the cloud’) but sometimes there's something satisfying about writing things down. And can I be honest and say I don't really trust 'the cloud' that much? Like, erm, what is it? So this year – why not go lo-fi (how hipster!) and get yourself a diary/planner in which to write your goals, appointments, to do lists, random thoughts and anythingnbsp;else that strikes you. I'm in no way an expert on this but I'm a crazy list maker - to the point of being ridiculous sometimes - and I'm pretty surenbsp;its been useful in keeping me on track in the past. Inbsp;like the type of diaries that have a whole week across two pages (a href="http://www.moleskine.com/catalogue/diariesplanners/12_month_weekly_diary/12_months__weekly_planner_horizontal__black_hard_c over__large.php"thisnbsp;is what I currently use/a)nbsp;- you could always go for a day-to-a-page diary if you like but they are obviously more bulky. And don't worry, even though it's mid way through January - better late than never right?/divdiv style="text-align: justify;"br //divdiv style="text-align: justify;"strongGet started using it:/strong/divdiv style="text-align: justify;"1. First things first – mark out your public holidays or other sorts of holidays (uni, school etc)./divdiv style="text-align: justify;"2. Mark in your friends and family birthdays – you can find these in the events section of Facebook if your friends are on it. Get on the phone and ask for dates if needbe./divdiv style="text-align: justify;"3. Mark in your diary any weekly or monthly appointments you have (ie weekly deadline for my Harper’s BAZAAR post, nbsp;tennis lessonsnbsp;etc). I usually only do this one or two months in advance as you never know what can change.nbsp;/divdiv style="text-align: justify;"4. Add in any new years resolutions – putting in specific goals innbsp;relationnbsp;to savings, health, fitness etc./divdiv style="text-align: justify;"5. Use your weekly diary as a place to write your appointments, to do lists and others. If you get a chance you can sit downnbsp;on a Sunday/Monday and plan the week out in advancenbsp;- exercise, catch ups with friends, emails and any major tasks you need to complete.br /6. If you're a blogger you can use your diary to keep track of what you want to post and any other things you need to do.br /br /Here are some little diary ideas!/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DerVr8XQhLM/Tw2dvvwlbHI/AAAAAAAAGMk/BRnGYBGLvzk/s1600/diaryinspo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"img border="0" height="480px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DerVr8XQhLM/Tw2dvvwlbHI/AAAAAAAAGMk/BRnGYBGLvzk/s640/diaryinspo.jpg" width="640px" //a/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4JwdbzGwo8M/Tw2dlDVjr_I/AAAAAAAAGMU/7lqASoKAW8g/s1600/diaryinspo3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"img border="0" height="480px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4JwdbzGwo8M/Tw2dlDVjr_I/AAAAAAAAGMU/7lqASoKAW8g/s640/diaryinspo3.jpg" width="640px" //a/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4ep567RlxIk/Tw2dfZn-UjI/AAAAAAAAGMM/aDezJpwo_p4/s1600/diaryinspo4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"img border="0" height="480px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4ep567RlxIk/Tw2dfZn-UjI/AAAAAAAAGMM/aDezJpwo_p4/s640/diaryinspo4.jpg" width="640px" //a/divdiv class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gw1Yg4JxnSI/Tw2dqrzQf6I/AAAAAAAAGMc/JbuPohbbTyU/s1600/diaryinspo2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"img border="0" height="480px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gw1Yg4JxnSI/Tw2dqrzQf6I/AAAAAAAAGMc/JbuPohbbTyU/s640/diaryinspo2.jpg" width="640px" //a/divbr /divdiv style="text-align: center;"span style="text-align: justify;"I hope some of these ideas help you plan out 2012.nbsp;/spanspan style="text-align: justify;"May it be a very good year for all of you!nbsp;/span/divdiv style="text-align: center;"span style="text-align: justify;"br //span/divdiv style="text-align: center;"span style="text-align: justify;"Do you have any other tips or insights as to how you use your diary?nbsp;/span/div/divdiv style="text-align: center;"br /Images: a href="http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=A20656096amp;catId=HOME-OFFICEamp;pushId=HOME-OFFICEamp;popId=HOMEamp;navCount=14amp;color=095am p;isProduct=trueamp;fromCategoryPage=trueamp;isSub category=trueamp;subCategoryId=HOME-OFFICE-JOURNALSamp;templateType=subCategory"Anthropologie/a, a href="http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/185244"Net-a-porter/a,nbsp; a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/84746209/idea-notebook-with-banner-and?ref=fp_treasury_5"Etsy/a, a href="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2953eUMf1qau50i.jpg"Tumblr/a, a href="http://www.moleskine.com/catalogue/diariesplanners/12_month_weekly_diary/12_months__weekly_planner_horizontal__black_hard_c over__large.php"Molskine/a/divdiv class="blogger-post-footer"img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8784775234411105189-2798291446782834923?l=apair-andaspare.blogspot.com' alt='' //div
